Heavy Rain, Foggy Weather Cancels Almost 274 Flights at O'Hare and 24 Flights at Midway

Heavy rain and fog led to delays and cancellations at both of Chicago's airports. According to the Chicago Department of Aviation, 274 flights were canceled at O'Hare and 24 flights were canceled at Midway as of 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Minor delays are reported across the board.

FlightAware.com showed a Delay Index of 5.0 (Excessive) at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014.

The FlightAware misery map reported 212 delays and 74 cancellations between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.
