United Airlines Flight 1263 Diverted: Chicago to New Orleans Flight Lands Safely in Jackson, Mississippi

United Airlines Flight 1263 from Chicago to New Orleans was diverted Monday night because of a mechanical problem and landed safely at Jackson-Evers International Airport at about 10:13 p.m. Monday in Jackson, Mississippi. Passengers were able to board an alternative flight to New Orleans early Tuesday morning.

The United Airlines Boeing 737 aircraft was carrying 116 passengers and 6 crew members, landed safely. The Boeing 737 aircraft took off from O'Hare International Airport at 7:38 p.m.
